On February 2nd, 2009, the first blog post appeared here. It was a Blogger site, back then, and in the decade that has followed the site’s been accessed over a million times.
On January 31st, 2019, I muted the word ‘Warcraft’ in my Twitter feed.
I have some serious real life issues to address right now. I won’t find my answers in Azeroth, because of what this place has come to symbolise over the last decade. So, instead of pretending there’s not a problem, it is time to fix things for good.
The blog will still be here, and I’ll talk about gaming, but for now Warcraft is part of a bigger problem that I can no longer cope with.
If you’re a true friend, I know you’ll understand.
I am sorry to read this Sarah, however, I have to say that I am not altogether surprised. It has been clear that there has been a different focus since you started putting more emphasis on your main body of writing. This is perfectly understandable and with limited time you have to prioritize.
I have not been playing myself since last September, I did always check the blog though, and although not the second it was published like I used to do back in Cataclysm, I still tried not to miss one. I will still keep checking to see any gaming pearls of wisdom you have to disseminate.
At the end of the day, you have to do what is best for you, and the people that have been here from the early days and some of the more measured newbies will understand the reasons you are doing this. Anyway, stay positive with all of your writing projects, and I will look forward to see what happens next with the blog.

PS: I suppose I will have to put my request of Azeroth in 5 making a comeback in the same list as Half-Life 3.
